Weed control the nice way
Weeds are the plants we love to loathe. One school of thought has it that weeds are just flowers in the wrong places. Indeed, cities that are reducing pesticide use are often experimenting with a more ‘natural look’ in areas where it is safe and desirable to do so.
It will always be necessary to clear weeds in some areas for practical and aesthetic reasons, a classic example being along the kerb and from other hard standings. But before you reach for the RoundUp, please consider telling weeds and other pests to get lost the nice way.
This page will be populated with tips and resources on non-chemical pest control soon. Meanwhile please check out our member groups websites for tips and techniques, or see Garden Organic’s page on weed control without glyphosate.
